My design uses an arduino uno the rfid reader and a servo.

This design is a solution to. The aim is to control a door lock without keys but using a smart phone instead. I came to this idea of controlling a door latch lock remotely using a smartphone when i saw many people many times forget to carry latch lock keys when they leave the house for a short trip or the door gets latched accidentally while casually talking to neighbors etc. How about something over the door lock knob that the can be easily removed but can connect to the servo arm using a servo rod.

The external lock is mounted to a flat shaft that locks and unlocks the deadbolt when rotated. An rfid door lock can lock and unlock doors with a swipe of a rfid keychain or card.
